No we don't lift the transom, I made a couple of dams that fit against the transom on the inside, there are a couple of guys on here that I've done them for, I can't find any of my pics, someone might help me here and post one up, they do work well though

Seems I have!!.
How about if when the tubes are ready for fitting the strakes, I put up some images showing a red and then grey strip temporarily held in place. Maybe also with the alternative Avon Searider mid grey strake instead of black and see what opinions are expressed. Or am I courting disaster and we will still be seeking a majority in twelve months time!!!

Chris, if I was you I would suggest to Alex and maybe a couple of others that a trip to your place for a final decision is the best option, photos will never do the tubes justice and there will just be too many people on here to satisfy, but whatever you go with it looks fantastic to me, and you and your team are to be congratulated for such an effort, great stuff

I would agree with just asking Alex and one or two others of his choosing. I'm happy that Alex will make the right choice.

Agreed, Alex plus one or two others making the decision is much more manageable - and a lot quicker than waiting for the jury

You'll recall that I donated a bunch of handles a couple of months ago which turned out to be the wrong shade for the MacRib as well as mine! So, I still need 10 handles for my SR. If the lady is willing to make them for me (assuming you have materials?) it's another opportunity to swell the coffers!
How does £17.50 a handle sound?
