Nice one Ed. Black for the tanks Ta
2013. It's when you start a boat not finish but it's an interesting point. Cars can lay in a field for a year and they are as old as the registration. In the old days you would lay down a boat. Referred to laying down the keel. Modern boat start with the hull and that has a HIN number on it and that's the start on the build

Can you lot put the 9th of March in your diaries for the lunchtime launch party in Portsmouth
I will start a new cruise thread later this week
Time to get your money out if you want to buy this rib, all you have to do is make me your best offer by the way of a sealed bid either on the day or before. Further details will be on the cruise thread later this week.
I just need to get my pm box enlarged.
Awesome!

9th march - England play wales at 1500........
May need a telly (though hopefully by that stage the boys in green have it wrapped up!)
Fingers crossed I'll be in Portsmouth, should be a great event and somebody is going to be a very happy bunny! Great boat.

I'll post this up in the hope that it doesn't ruffle anyone feathers, Skipper Markey has ask/ offered to move his rib ride boat round to the dock for a day, he has offered to do rib rides in his 10m boat with 2x300 hp on, he has offered 25% his takings to the cause!, It's a good chance to see how large boat travels over the Solent chop

I would have thought the best return surely has to be an eBay auction ? as sealed bid are only going to submitted from maybe 100 members on here if that, an auction on a platform like eBay, with links to this thread, publicity, local press etc all linking to the eBay auction would be seen by thousands, with a far greater chance of a higher donation being secured.
Sealed bids isn't IMO in the best interests of the Project, or all that have contributed but cannot attend etc. Its a shame that's the way its going forward

I agree. Regardless of the fees involved using ebay, I'd have thought their worldwide platform would be the best shop window for this. Any other blogs, facebook pages and publicity can be linked to the ebay auction to 'drive' traffic to the site and there's a transparency about it that I think the cause deserves too.
All IMHO of course....
