rib?

I have 50 Yam BF but no boat,
rigid raider repossed in MOD inquiry while me out of uk, so looking for cheap alterative - RIB? also with view to round GB <50/5m,
MY thoughts are Humber destoyer 5m may be suitable,
any suggestions?

Humber make cheap and cheerful RIBs. They are OK, but tend to be a bit rough and ready.

Have you had a quick ring round to see how prices compare for 5m RIBs? All the contact details are here on RIBnet! Let us know how you get on.

To be honest, if I was looking for a budget RIB I would probably opt for a second hand boat -- you'll get more for your money. With a 50 hp outboard, I wouldn't recommend anything over 5 metres though.

We are planning to use a 5m destroyer for the RB4 run. If you get one without the D fendering it just fits the 4.95 max. length.
Having bought 9 new RIBs over the past 4 years (several Humbers & others) for rescue, training and recreational use, I reckon this boat will be one of the most capable for its size. Their build quality has improved much over the past few years too.
