RIB Apex A-10

Hey everyone!

I recently bought a used Apex-10 RIB thinking it was a good deal. I still think it is but I recently found out that the boat is leaking. I was able to find one leak with soapy water but having a hard time finding the other leaks... I will have to have another run at it to find more leaks. I ordered toobseal to coat the inside but I am trying to patch the leaks I found first before I do so. I'm still new to this and trying to research as much as I can but I know you guys would have valuable input that I'm sure it will take me forever to learn. I posted some pictures, can you guys let me know what you think of it? Especially the patch work from the previous owner. Best ways of redoing it or alternatives? Thanks in advance!

Does it look like it was previously painted?

Search the threads, I think that there are some posts on the stuff.

To be honest and I'm very new to this but I don't think its painted over. I think its the original coating that is peeling off? There is the first layer that is white and the second layer that is grey and then the hypalon material? The 5th picture shows the layers there.

I plan on removing the old patch and repatching them. Same with the 6th picture that is a small leak( the only leak I was able to find thus far but there is more somewhere...) However, is the 4th picture that has the 1st layer peeled serious? Would I have to put coating over it?

So i just found out that the inside layer is neoprene and the layer that is coming off the the hypalon.... =/ therefore is the hypalon peeling off...

Any recommendation on what coating to use?

I think your best off putting some 'big' hypalon patches over the entire areas affected. If done right it will look fine and ensure the delamination is kept under control , but may not stop it forwever.

How about for picture #4? The seams is it? The hypalon material came off and now the grey layer is showing. Is a patching required? Or can i simply put a coating over it? Thanks again in advance
