You might want to check they make provision for an A-Frame (Assuming you have one) .
They might not fit otherwise.

Blue ones are listed on forums as blue e bay covers and loads written about them. I have one as a spare winter cover which I had altered to go around the A Frame. The main issue being that straps need to go beneath the boat to secure the cover so if on a dry stack/or water it is very hard to do, but on a trailer great value. Check sizes though on beam and overall length

Like ian I bought one four years ago for a winter cover and it is stiil as good as new, even with all the snow etc!!!!!!
As with ian I had to modify for the 'A' frame but that is no problem. Again I would order bigger than you need to allow plenty of flexability.
Hope this helps.

I have the 2nd one on your list. the grey one.
Went for the larger size and it all fits over the rib and round the A frame nicely.
the tie down tabs are good and strong as is the material.
I have no issues with it and would recomend it.

I've just got one. Went for the next size up than I needed and, disappointingly it's not big enough to get around the A frame. It was a dark and raining when I was fitting it, so I just cut it at the back in two places and strapped it around the back tubes. Should have waited and sent it back.
Should have paid heed to someone else who said get two sizes up.
Seems a bit strange to sell them as RIB covers when they're not designed to cope with A frames.

Make a cup of tea and have a read of this:
http://www.rib.net/forum/f8/those-eb...ers-23287.html
It's been on the boat for quite some time now, and has endured quite a few miles of towing at, erm, legal towing speeds, driving rain, high winds, several falls of deep snow, etc etc. with no maintenance.
And I have to say, it's now completely knackered.
However, bearing in mind what it's put up with since February 2008, and how much they cost, I'm about to buy another one.
Nasher.

Just the topic!
Just about to order one!!!!. We have a 5.5m with A frame, so all you experts what size do i need. I did notice on the site they DO say they are not suitable for boats with A frames........so do you order a larger one to cope with it or what????
My fist year with a RIb, have learned the hard way for most things so i am doing the research first on this one. Any advise on what i need to do to winter the new boat and engine.
Cheers Phil

HI Phil I got a larger one for my 585 and got someone to make zips to allow me to fit around the frame. Others I know have bought really big so they could just put it over the frame and secure around the back, What ever is your preference. Hope this helps.

Looks like you mean "Ducksback"? I've been trying to contact them for the last few days, no reply to email (address taken from their site, therandomco@gmail.com) and the phone number I also found on their website (01384 635959) is unobtainable. Are they still in business? Any better contact details please (am just trying info@ducksback.co.uk )?
Thanks

Difficult to contact
Hi Smithyyy, i had the very same problem contacting them. Infact i thought like you they had gone pop, and if they did deal with people like that ....no wonder!.
Anyway, i did send an email to therandomco@gmail.com and yesterday i received a reply!! from a Julie Ore telling me to go direct to the website to order and that there is a devise on there to work out sizes etc. No explanation why we could not contact them on the telephone. Perhaps they are to busy dealing with all our enquiries!! i think ribnet should have its own supplier?.
Wish i could find a solar powerd small bilge pump for the rib when she is on a mooring.
Cheers Phil

Thanks - yes, the different email address worked (other address and phone number came off their site though).
I was trying to get clearer whether they allow for A frames - answer no, just stretch the back corners around the outside and over the back of the tubes. Could still be worth getting one and modifying it though, they're so cheap to start with

Got also reply this week from Julie and she refers to their website with a calcuator for the cover size .
Did that for the SR 5.4 and ended up with :
Rib and Speed Boat Cover 14-16ft (size 3)
Can anybody confirm that it fits on a 5.4 ?
Thanks in advance !
