Rib delivery - Glasgow to Southampton

I may need to get a Rib delivered from Glasgow to Southampton.

It's on a trailer that would probably make the trip on the road, but it's not a trip I would like to test it on.

Does anyone know of anyone that would be interested in bringing it down on a flatbed please.

What is a sensible price to pay?

Rib is 6.5 metres.

Many thanks

There is a group of Facebook "UK and EU Boat Transportation" I highly recommend posting on there. I just got a 7.4m rib brought back from Holland for under £400 on a flatbed

What a blow... I know it feels like the end of the world, but another one will come along. Get in quick, get a deposit down and it will be yours!

Just dont put a deposit down until you've seen the boat & met the seller, preferably at their home but if not then somewhere you can verify its his to sell.
Lots of scams revolve around people placing deposits for items that dont exist or dont belong to the vendor. Their not all Nigerians sat in Lagos either, many scam artists reside in a town near you

^^^^^^^^
Wot he said. Don’t get panicked into buying the first one that comes along, just because the market is high. Things will quieten off over the winter & prices will drop. By all means act fast, but with caution.

i did exactly this to buy my boat. as soon as the ad came up i phoned the guy and fired a thousand questions at him. things he’d only know if he’d owned the boat. he didn’t hesitate on a thing. i asked him where he lived and then asked him to send me a photo of his drivers license. as he never hesitated with any of that i was comfortable. i didn’t see the boat until it arrived a week later.
