RIB extra seating - how to mount?!
I have a DELTA 770SX RIB (7.7m / 25 feet), twin-150HP, ex military/Police, so it’s fairly hardcore, with 2 helm seats OEM-mounted, then 2 more identical seats on OEM-mounted rails (in lieu of bottle cages etc), and then 2 more I purchased separately, again with rails, but I’m struggling to get anyone to install them, so I’m now looking to do them myself.
Any suggestions on likely thickness of deck on such a RIB?
What fixings would you suggest? ie screws, or bolts?
As access to underside of deck is very limited, are there suitable fixings with ‘toggle’ or similar, so that the ‘retainer’ slots thru first, to hold the bolt?
The rails have 7 holes per rail, 120mm spacings, so I’m hoping that’s sufficient to hold, if I use chunky M10/M12 screws/bolts etc?
The seats then have 2x2 bolts to mount to attach to ‘sliders’ in the rails. Is that enough?
Any thoughts or advice gratefully received!
