If its anything like the rest of the stuff the enviroment agency get rid of it will be well past its best! They are known for getting their moneys worth out of equipment.

I was looking at the prices from past auctions at Brightwells - things like trailers never seem to go very cheap so may not be that much of a bargain!!!

I rang brightwells today to find out what the guide price or reserve was.
they wouldn't disclose the reserve but said they would probably start the bidding at £5K and there was a reserve.
so reading between the lines i would think the reserve is £6K+ so nobody will get it for two half sucked gobstopers and a packet of fags!

not sure how you can say that based on that one photo? especially with no idea of its age or hours etc? certainly looks better than some boats i have seen used commercially...

Heavy Engines

What makes you say that?

At £7.5k +vat + buyers premium (Nearly £10k with no documentation, it certainly seems expensive if it isn't rigged properly!)......

Auction report.

Everything at the auction seemed very expensive. There was one bargain boat though, though it was an unknown quantity until we got it back and inflated it. some ham fisted plonker bust my pump inflating it too no names mentioned
The rib went for if i remember correctly £8500 plus buyers commision plus vat. so around £10.5K
not sure who bought it but there seemed to be a lot of telephone bidders.
I can confirm though it was not as good as it looked, can't comment on the engines but the console had been replaced and the old holes in the deck left open to water ingress, also the transom seemed to have new filler and or flowcoat covering some damage at the join to the deck, and cracks all around the stainless transom knees, may be superficial but could be covering something more sinister?
It was more money than i would have paid for it.
