I think that is a realistic cost actually. It may be your expectations that need adjusting. Depreciation, wear and tear (in effectively unknown hands), insurance, storage the rest of the time, engine services, etc all cost significant money; and sadly there aren't that many days when a boat gets used in the UK and Easter weekend is one of the more popular!

That was my initial thought from the thread title too. They do have boats in the sub £100 per day category. e.g.
Humber – Bembridge Marine 5 | Bembridge - I am amazed its worth his while! I think you will have some restrictions on area of operation - but that shouldn't be a problem.
