Rib hire in Lymington or near by

I need to hire a small ish (4-5.5m ideally) rib to do some safetyboat work over easter weekend, unfortunatly all the Charter boats are:
A) 6m+
B) ruinously expensive
Would anyone be willing to lend/loan/hire a sea scout group a boat from Friday to sunday PM in the area, quite happy to make a suitable donation. So long as the boat is insured(not that we would plan to damage it but things do happen from time to time) and seaworthy. We would be using it for looking after a group of Scouts sailing dinghys from Lymington and could do with another boat.
Yours hopefully

also happy with a hire company if it comes to a bit more realistic cost than £600 for the three days

Try Simon Nuding at Rib-it training, he has a 6mtr "Little rib it".
His Charter company recently sold to Solent RIB Charter but he has kept the small RIB

Could be worth talking to Jim Robinson on here-Bembridge Marine is the company. They hire smaller ribs out.

I think that is a realistic cost actually. It may be your expectations that need adjusting. Depreciation, wear and tear (in effectively unknown hands), insurance, storage the rest of the time, engine services, etc all cost significant money; and sadly there aren't that many days when a boat gets used in the UK and Easter weekend is one of the more popular!

That was my initial thought from the thread title too. They do have boats in the sub £100 per day category. e.g. Humber – Bembridge Marine 5 | Bembridge - I am amazed its worth his while! I think you will have some restrictions on area of operation - but that shouldn't be a problem.

Have you tried contacting Lymington or Hythe sea scouts? Both have safety boats, just a case if you can borrow them for a suitable donation.

£600 for three days for a 6m+ rib is a bargain! In the solent it's more like £600 a day!!! My rib is nearly 8m so no use to you...

LOL - for what I have spent on servicing, mooring, insurance, antifoul, repairs this last few months I could hire that 6m Humber for 36 days...which is way more than I will get out. That would probably be enough for 3 years

Need to take up a cheaper hobby like Ferrari banger racing.
