@Xk59D - when you ask professional boat builder in Poland to add some layers they will answer - SORRY NOT POSSIBLE.

Customer can select material/construction type (i'm not specialist like sandwich or something like that) but can not ask for more layers.

Number of layers and thickness determine construction/material/material maker/"approved standards" and each process validate some marine industry agency.

I will start to ask them about:
- material
- hull construction
- reinforcement construction

And what norms boat build standards they follows. But still I'm unsure if customer (not specialist) shall interfere.

If you have any norm/standard/document approved in your country for boat builders you can ask them to follow it (not sure how you can be sure if they follows).

If you ask for heavier hull Good Lord knows what they can do to make it heavier (some bricks maybe)

On Boat Shows in Poland many customers in "Gold age" complains that 20 y ago boats were better because hull was heavier more thickness ...

If they open for anything why not send them documentation "how to make boat for me" based on some approved industrial norms ... plus list of materials. But who will supervise their work.

I agree with you here. Even though i believe it is agood boat, still they are china minded.
But To be more fair to them, their flexability here was only because there is my expert friend in the middle who has the boat in picture who asked for this based on his experience with his boat. They were not ready for anything else.
By the way, i have read that there are some users who expect higher than standard quality and strength who get the builder makes stronger version specially for their needs. I know it is not a 100% correct acomparison with this situation but it may justify some.
Anyway, should wait to see final product.

This friend of mine checks and supervise all hulls production. He told me that even small bubble can be dangerous. Workers are experienced but he supervise them constantly.
Now he has been started to make carbon fiber boats (small speed boats) and it require even much more detail work.
I was thinking about Aluminum hulls,
Was very very impressed by x mars ribs of eehai xiangda,their reputation was very good as i heared but their x mars start with 5.8 meters and cost more..but they are looking fantastic!
So i gave up the x mars and didnot think anymore about china products untill saw my friend boat and got recommendation for that type (actually, now they produce wider beam type, 534 cm instead of my friends 510)

Let me add few things that may give better picture:
This boat is only half inflated.
Tubes are 60cm diameter due to special request of the owner. Original model 50cm. I will order 50 cm. I wont have plays in this design.
Boat reported to be very stable and unbumpy. So either i am not fully understand what deep v is or picture is misleading or trully the boat has no deep v? Will be happy to here what others think?

I had some demands documented. For the hull its only adding 4 layers.
But important to our hot climate is oval tubes with no conus part with no plastic or whatsoever part glued to the tubes..we have ribcrafts, quicksilver and other well reputation companies come to my freind after those parts seperated in hot summers. Only boat not having this ilness was the zodiac!!!

Am very anxious: did you say it is chinese boats?
Can you guve indication for their prices?
Web looks impressive.

Non deadrise angle indicated but i admit that even many uk ribs dont indicate deadrise angle..so it is agoodsighn highfield doe so..

Yes that is shallow V Imo for the size of the boat, if you are happy with it then fair enough.

There is nothing wrong with a shallower hull if where you boat or type of boating you intend to do suits that. They burn less fuel so has some benefit.

However, it will be bumpy without question. With my old Avon if it got to maybe 3ft waves you were slamming a little but manageable, anything more and I was coming home at displacement speed. I still come home at displacement speeds now with a deep V bit it is far less often.

Maybe where you come from that would pass as an intermediate V, it is all relative to what you are used to.

I came from a cabin boat to my last rib which had a similar looking Hull shape to your rib here and it was of a similar size so I have some experience of the pros and cons at this sort of size.

There is not any secret about HIGHFIELD boats I think, there is dealer locator on the website. Importers - Highfield Boats

I'm not expert but after some well know RIB makers asked for double price for ALU boats (like RIBCRAFT) I decide to buy ALU. I did drop email to RIBCRAFT but they use ALU for bigger boats only. I did buy mine in 2014 after Southampton boat show (thanks for this forum and pictures made by RIB.net users on this forum). On these days it was really good price for them. I have imported it from UK importer (now there is new one but the same person). Here you have prices in UK (not sure if they are still valid)

Deluxe

You can read that they are descent of some Australian RIB's but I did not check this history (it can be true or marketing). It is good for my needs
- I do like simple design and "work" look
- with 115 HO Evinrude my cruise speed is 45 - 49 km/h (3800 RPM - 4000 RPM)
- petrol consumption in this RPM range (Steel Rebel 19" prop) 2km per 1liter
- max speed is about 69 km/h
- it can carry my family (5 people)
- I tow it every year to Greece/Croatia

I'm not qualified person to valuate this RIB.
It is my first RIB in my life even I'm old (almost 50).
She behave really good in Greece (always wind and some waves) I can go 40-45 km/hr of course depending on waves size.

If I own it 10 y I can say go and buy.
But mine has only 2 seasons (2x2months in Greece/Croatia) and company has only 5 y.

If that is the same hull shape you are getting then bumpy is being kind to the expected performance I would suggest.

Wider beam will make it worse!

That boat is literally flat at the back, in anything but a light chop you will be travelling at displacement speeds I suspect. Again, you will just need to boat within the constraints you have, all boats have them the only difference is what and where they are.

There is basically no hull what so ever .You may as well bolt en engine on a plank of wood and no better than a pond tender.
You been given advice from a lot of experts. Take heed.
