Thanks for the suggestion. Did an online quote, lots of questions but seemed reasonable.

Try "Porthcawal" for a quote.
Generally pretty good and having made a couple of claims over the years they were straight up and easy to deal with.

i always used gjw, fair price (dependant on value ,remember if you inflate your value ,you will not get it anyway but have paid more for the privalidge ) ,hard paper copies sent to your address and best of all when locked in compound or on the car you can use a hitch lock ,no need for a wheel clamp to crush your fingers everytime you use it ,not to mention carting it about

Been with craftinsure for years. Works on basis of launch and retrieve but they can do additional cover if on mooring on holiday for example. Can recommend.

I've also been with craftinsure for years (4 boats) and needed to make a couple of claims for our cruiser (10k+) and they settled very fairly also just had to claim for my daughter's racing dinghy and they agreed the claim within a couple of days
You can actually talk to the guy handling your claim and negotiate direct with him.
Very easy to deal with every time I've had anything to do with them
I'd highly recommend them
I always think unless you've had to make a claim you realy don't know how good an insurance company are

I'm with Porthcawl. I made a claim because some idiot WAFI's boat fell over on the quayside and it's mast smashed my console. Porthcawl paid up £7k+ immediately-no questions asked-couldn't have been bettered.
No excess paid and no rise in premium next year.
I would swear by them.
