Rib Insurance

Hi, can anybody advise me of a decent insurance company to use for my Searider 4.7? I was just about to take a policy out with Towergate but one of the conditions was that the boat had to brought ashore when not in use and nobody is on it between sunset and sunrise. Whilst I'm on holiday it is left in the water moored to a pontoon like many other peoples??

Thanks

Try Mercia Marine who for no extra cost wrote in a clause allowing it on a floating mooring for the month of June when I would be on holiday (I only asked for 2 weeks).

We use craftinsure.com for several boats in the family and although they are an online company if you ring them re any conditions that dont suite your use they do usually accomodate for a small extra fee

I’ve been using craft insure.com for about 15 years. Never had to make a claim but very good customer service - you can set a policy up in a handful of minutes on their website. Always had great help by phone and by email with I’ve had any queries. And they’ll cover you overnight in marinas as standard.

I've used Porthcawl or Alan & Thomas - good service from both.
