Rib jet 10 plowing

Hi, I have a 2001 Nautica rib jet 10.When I throttle up, the bow comes up and the boat does what it is supposed to do, but as I continue to slowly accelerate and the bow settles back down to plane, it keeps going and begins to plow. I have to keep it at about 20 mph and 3000 rpm(less than half throttle) to keep it from "going to far" and becoming undriveable. This occurs with no extra weight up front; just what is supposed to be there. Why is this happening? thanks.

Hi, not really up on jet motors. If an outboard it would need the leg/prop trimming out - can you adjust trim out with your set up?

Strange problem. Only thing I can think of is: Make sure your bucket is all the way retracted up. If the bucket is like 1/4 the way down it might do something like this, although idk if you'd be able to get on plane in the first place.

Other than that, make sure weight is distributed properly. On a boat that small, the weight of one person sitting in the wrong place can make a difference.

No trim adjustment of any kind. There is a notch that the bucket sits in when fully retracted and it is sitting in that notch so assuming it is all the way up. Problem occurs with just me on board sitting behind the wheel.

Is the reverse bucket dropping. Too much play in the FNR linkage ?

Could the hull be flooded and when you get on the plane and the trim reduces you get a transfer of water forwards which causes the bow down attitude.

Check the intake grate and ride plate could be plate loose or need shimming. The ride plate and nozzle work in tandem.
