Rib or boat

Hi all I have recently sold my zodiac pro open rib. And now looking for something new. problem is I am not sure what to go for. there is two stunning ballistic ribs A 6.5m and a 7.8 at my local marina. The other thing is I have been looking at a beneteau barracuda 9 So switching to the dark side. Just wandering if anyone has advice if they have or know anyone that has had either of these cheers

Had a 7.8 for several years, sold it last year. Huge, fast, stable, fast,etc etc. Never got it in any situations that worried me, and was out in F8+ on more than one occasion.
People who trot out the 'they slam' thing have never been on one. Everything slams if you drop it 6 feet off a wave at 40+kts...
Only reason I don't have it now is it was getting on a bit and I got sick of having to drive 2+hours home at the end of the day, so something with a cabin next.

I'm actually thinking the dark side of some sort, want to be able to stay out for 2 weeks at a time with 2 of us and 2 dogs.
The diesel derogation ending suggests I might have to become a WAFI...
