He might be having a problem with his email - I suggest you give him a call - he's a very nice man and will talk you through it all on the phone if you want -

Hi again everyone! It seems that everyone was a bit premature with anouncements of huge changes to the RIB racing this year!
Torquay race - Sunday 30th
- Race 1 V24 13.00
- Race 2 Class III and RIBs 14.30
- Champagne and laurels 16.30
There will be practise on the Saturday from 14.00 till 15.00.
The courses for class III and the RIBs is the same so it looks as if all of the plans for 2004 have been dropped at least for Torquay?
Look forward to seeing some of you there!

I think you better look at your race instructions again. Different course from last year. new course goes as far east as Teignmouth exactly what Chris Strictland said in his letter

Hi Jon
Jim at BIBOA has had all sorts of problems with his email ... so if you emailed
"biboa@talk21.com" you will not get a reply! The ISP changed and he can't get in anymore.
Try either calling 01902-372975 or email at ymack@riblines.fsnet.co.uk
Would love to have you out there!

Cookee,
If you're interested, you can see last year's course for Torquay at:
http://www.extremeboat.co.uk/course2003_torquay.htm
I think you'll see it is a lot different to this year.
There is a rough schematic for this year on the BIBOA website at:
http://www.biboa.com/Torquay%20Proposed%20Courses.jpg
Whilst there are still some short laps unfortunately due to the event sponsor, it's still vastly better than last year. Exmouth, Fairlie and Cowes are all truely offshore and Poole has reinstated the Needles race, so racing is definitely getting back to its roots (all be it kicking and screaming ) for RIBs and Offshore!
Miike

Hi Jon,
It is possible that Jim is on holiday (again!)
If so, you can contact the race organisers direct rather than go
through BIBOA ... For Torquay this is
Mike Spinks - michael.spinks1@ntlworld.com
If you don't have any luck, let me know and I'll track them down for you
Mike

Cheers for that
We are looking more for Ramsgate and on wards.
We have a few commitments so next weekend is out for most of the crew.
Also Ramsgate is a local one so would be handy for our first time out.
Once again thanks for the info.
Regards

Richard is a very friendly bloke and is one of the top blokes in the sport - I always feel a bit safer when he's in charge of safety.

Not that I know of - I think he may be from the Solent area but Mikey might be able to tell you for sure?
