RIB refurb
Who needs to flip it when you can just hoist it up...
4 very convenient lifting eyes in the boat, 1 even more convenient chain block and a team of willing polishers!! Looks lovely doesn't she... Few small gel repairs but more polish than "work".

RIB refurb
Argh, tubes had to be deflated and tied in to fit through the doors.
Good spot on the glass gear, we share our workshop with boatbuilders - some distinct advantages to that (to be fair they say the same about sharing with marine sparks I hope).
I can't take any credit for the level of shine. None the less I've enjoyed watching the hard work and the results.

My work here is done.
"Ballistic" now has a new icom M323 plus 7" Raymarine plotter & AIS receiver.
I didn't think I'd be selling this so quickly but I'm picking up the next project on Thursday so the ballistic is up for sale.
Hopefully she won't sell too quickly as we've a trip to France planned end July.

RIB refurb
The whole positive marine team somewhat distracted from real work today cleaning my boat top to bottom...
I've entered her into a boat auction in Rams this weekend (with a reserve) so she needs to look her best. 6 months on and ed's / ribraf's tubes still gleam like new.

The boat didn't make the reserve in the auction - no surprise really as it's a pretty specialist kind of thing and Hobbs Parker usually sell cars!!
It has since been sold privately, through ribnet.
I am sure the proud new owner will introduce him self in due course.
In the mean time I'm busily fitting new brake shoes to the trailer (all 4 sets) and my upholsterer is making a rather sexy sun pad to match the bow cushion (to the new owners deign).
I'm going to miss this one... Next project !!

RIB refurb
The bow cushion was £80.
The sunpads (it's in two halves) £140 each / 280 total.
Both held on with pop-studs. The boat half is just a short self tapper on a studd.

Rib Refurb....
Daniel - firstly a massive thanks for all that you have done to help, its really appreciated and Ill try and look after it, and you know where it is if you want to get out on the south coast anytime!
.......So, I'm the new owner, upgrading from a Zodiac pro 550 with a Honda 90 to a Ballistic 7.2 with a 250; I was looking for a 6.5m with a 150 but got drawn in
Its going to be a massive change, and its really completely out my league, and I think its going to be sometime before I get used to the size of it. It dwarfs the car, and I know nothing of 2 strokes...
May years ago now I came out on a couple of rib net trips in the solent, and it completely opened my eyes to other side of ribbing outside of my bay hoping experiences on the zodiac in Devon. I was actually on Chris's boat which back then was a small osprey (I think) and we whizzed around the IOW, and I was blown away by it, and from that time I new the zodiac was not what I needed, but could not afford to change it.
I'm on for doing plenty of cruises, so hopefully be able to join some of you guys after what has been a good few years, and this time around I wont be the at the back holding on to my leisure seat; although I will be watching the fuel gauge very differently!
Hoping to get out for a maiden voyage in a few weekend time....
