RIB sleeve

Have you guys seen the RIB sleeve. It takes and turns your Soft bottom into a hard bottom. What do you guys think?

But we've got hard bottoms.

And more to the point the bottoms of our boats are hard.

An interesting idea but I would have thought it needed to be tailor made for every different type of boat, and also I wonder if the tubes would chafe on the rigid bit if they aren't fixed anywhere except for the bow and transom?

I realize that the bottoms are hard. I was just wondering what the thoughts were for soft bottoms.

Plenty of baby lotion and talcum powder.

I once heard rumors of a plastic insert (or pair of inserts, never was really clear on that) that would fit on either side of the keel tube, and give you a more solid V shape on a SIB. Would have to have been designed specifically for your boat, in my case I was told it was specifically made for Achilled by someone (or maybe it was a third-party product... wasn't too clear on that, either.)

Seemed like a good idea at the time, looked but couldn't get any info on a supplier; have never heard of it since, either.

Nice idea but as Stephen says, should really have a specific moulding for rach SIB model - that's lot's of moulds!

Look like one of those products that gets used a couple of times and then never again because it falls off, scoops up water or you just can't be bothered to put it on.
