RIB to the Pub. Where to go around Hayling Island

We are going to be playing boats around Hayling Island for a week in April and are looking for some evening trips to nice places that sell beer and food.

Knowledge of the local area is limited since the Admiralty forgot to mark good pubs on their latest charts. Please can you help.

All pubs visited will be thoroughly tested and reviews published accordingly.

Thanks in advance
Will

We used to stop at the Langstone as the boat was at Northney, there are lots of nices places.

We used to like going to the Ship just at the bridge and the Royal Oak, both had good food and beer and have a great view. Enjoy

Ship Inn at Itchenor has good food and you can stay for a short while on Harbour masters ponton if you ask nicely (and pay the harbour dues ) HAYLING ISLAND SAILING CLUB http://www.hisc.co.uk/ does a really great Sunday lunch with excellent bar with views to die for . Call on M1 or M2 and ask if ok to leave boat on pontoon while eating (it will be fine but best to ask ) Both good at all states of tide .Ferry boat at Langstone end always good entertainment watching fat pykies launch speed boats etc .Having looked at HISC meetings I assume you are looing after the RYA nats ?

yes, we are helping with safety cover for the youth nationals -

the kids should be off the water late afternoon so we are looking for places that are a short blast away from HISC.
