Look like the RIB escaped serious damage, all the tubes look fully inflated and the transom's in one piece.
I'm guessing that the passenger was throw into the windscreen of the lorry.

Not sure exactly what's happened here - but the skid marks from the lorry speak volumes.
Another reason for hi-visibility prop bag, fitting auxilliary marker lights on trailer wheel arches, lights on even during daylight hours, etc.

It's a good reason not to let knackered Lithuanian lorry drivers run 2 up all the time (which incidentally is illegal). No amount of hi-viz tat will counter that.

the truck was slovenian. and I suppose no british lorry driver has ever run into the back of someone by not paying attention, driving too close, with excess speed or when too tired.
Was that Hightowers trailer - it seems a bit bent?

Slovenian, Lithuanina, makes no odds. The Baltic countries are the worst for these kinds of offences. It's illegal for the co-driver to have no tacho in while the vehicle is working therefore the maximum time the vehicle can be driven in one day is 14hrs 15 minutes while double manned. Most are being run 24/7 and co-drivers are trying to sleep in the bunk of a moving vehicle.
Of course it's possible a british wagon driver could do it. Howevr, it's merely possible.
You can guarantee a double manned Baltic vehicle like that is being driven by someone who hasn't had enough rest.

slovenia isn't in the Baltic.
Whilst you are probably right, unless you know more than was in the video then its a bit unfair to assume that they were breaking the rules/law. If there was a passenger in the vehicle, you are assuming that they were also driving - not being used as a "mate" for loading/unloading etc, or even just a hitch-hiker! Then you are implying that this contributed to the accident: for all we know they just started their trip after a full rest. And given the unknown circumstances - it is probably unfair to imply that this was more likely to happen with "foreign" drivers.

Ok, former Eastern Bloc states. I stand corrected.

Highly unlikely given the specifics of the vehicle and trailer.

I think it'd take far too long to explain why I think the way I do. However, if I was a police officer, I'd be looking very carefully at the tachographs of BOTH occupants and expecting several convictions.

I'm having flashbacks! My last little Hurricane was rear-ended and eventually written off by the insurers. Mind you, my friend, (the local Hurricane dealer and expert on these things..) bought it from them for salvage for $1000. He fixed the "unrepairable" damage (a torn tube and a rebuilt prop) for $500, then sold the boat back to me for $1500 (paid for out of the $11,000 claim proceeds). I subsequently sold the boat to another friend for $9000, leaving me with a total of $18,500 to use toward my nice new (used) Hurricane. Not bad for a boat I initially paid $10,000 for and used hard for 4 years!
Incidently, I was hit whilst stopped at an intersection, surrounded by others brakelights, as well as my own, and the red stoplight. It didn't seem to register on the driver of the van that skidded 80 feet before hitting me. I could see her coming in the mirror, but hardly felt her hit! These boats make great airbags!
I have never seen one of these prop bags over here. Where do I order one? Maybe I could have it shipped here!

Clearly you mistake my Missus for someone who has seamstress skills although (in case she happens to read this) she is a fine cook, caring, beautiful, a great boat tender etc...
