Good advice so far, the osprey looks a smart project or use it as it is for now.
If you want more of a project Leeways has a 6m BWM which needs allot doing to it.

Ribcraft 5.45

Have a look at the Ribcraft 5.45.

http://www.redbayboats.com/ in the preowned section

This is 50% mine.

Both of us have bought Redbay 6.5s.

The 75HP Honda 4 stroke we recon only has around 100 hours although we put it down at less than 200 to be on the conservative side so barely run in. Was mainly used by my partner to follow his son's Topper sailing campaigns on the water so many of those hours were at very low revs.

Engine and trailer serviced in September at £300.

Radio is weathered so needs a new one and a small patch required on the port side that you can see due to rope rub while in the marina in 2007 but tube is not leaking.

Price is negotiable

But a very quick one with little work needed to bring it up to 100%, after all you are getting a rib with around 100 hours use from new which we have owned from new.

If you are really interested make us an offer via a personal email.

Thanks for the interest

I'm not, £1300 for my SR4 is more project money for me.

NP Chewy,
it would have been a good excuse for a delivery trip to go back to my favourite lake at Semer Water which I used to visit every year for about 12 years on holiday in the Dales :-)

I can say I'm interested if you want, you go to Semer Water and I'll test your RIB for the weekend?
