rib with toilet?
Morning,
suspect i am leaving myself wide open for plenty of "piss" taking here but, what options are there for open ribs with toilets?
Hunton have a nice one in the console,
Shearwater have the same,
we are looking for something around 7.5 to 8.5 meters. our last rib had a massive bow locker which was great for the bucket solution but that didnt go down that well with some guests.
thanks in advance.
Zippy

There was another "Foringer" on here who showed a RIB with a "pop-up karzi", a gadget like a camper roof that popped up from the deck or whatever with a portapotti underneath. Was he Greek?
However, while it's not exactly an open rib, this might be a good compromise...

Redbay give you the option of having a loo installed on their 8.4 stormforce ribs.

DHDai keeps a dual purpose tuppaware fishbox on his boat. I think he takes the fish out before his Missus pees in it.

While you can 'plumb' the bogs in on shearwaters I think most go for the 'chemical' option nowadays to save drilling big holes in the hull. IMO defo the way forward ! Did see pics of a RIB with a fold up bog lid that had a curtain type thing for privacy - reminds me of a time I was in a tent at Newtown when the coastguard decided to drop off a cake for his son who I was camping with - suffice to say tents & downdraft from big choppers dont go well together - especially with me in the tent !
The whole bog thing seems well OTT ( coming from someone who takes a TV onboard sometimes! ) Removed mine on day 2 of ownership.

Absolutely, but it sure as hell sells a lot of boats. I think it's a wife thing - if she can't take a p#ss in it, she won't OK the buy. Once the karzi is in, it's a small jump to berths (an obvious plus) but bogs n berths leads to showers and ultimately, galleys. Thus are cruisers bought.

Buy a Ribeye, then you'll have a toilet of a rib.

I suppose you'd have to, if your RIB doesn't have a bilge pump.

humm.
seems majority of people here use the bucket and chuckit method which has few floors other than when you have guests on board its not all that polite!
with the chemical ones in the sheerwater, does all the chemical not go everywhere if it gets a little bumpy??

I guess there are valves and things - best ask someone who sells them how they work - if its that rough to spill it the last thing I'd want to do is try & sit on it in a small cabin!
