Ive been interested in purchasing one but so far from what Im finding they are quickly loosing ground over other brands. When buyers have to search so hard to find simple basic information out, they soon become frustrated and put off.

My understanding is that the only standard item on a Ribcraft is the hull, be it a 585, 4.8 whatever. For everything else there is a choice from different types of tubes, different seats, different size fuel tanks etc. And any colour you want. I was also told when I ordered mine that they could fabricate anything in stainless steel that wasn't in their standard parts bin. So there is no "standard" 585 or "standard" 4.8 which they would be able to provide info on.
I nearly bought a Brig but couldn't have one without teak decks and a sunbed
. When I told the Brig dealer I'd ordered a Ribcraft 585 he said "I can understand your choice". That says it all.
Buying a 585 was one of the best decisions I've ever made and I feel privileged to own one.
