ribcraft 5.5 jack plate

Hi all has anyone fitted an outboard jack plate to a ribcraft 5.5 /5.85 reason I am asking is the boat at the moment is set up with a long shaft mercury 90hp 20 inch shaft all correct as it should be however I do have a 115hp xl yamaha which is newer and fuel injected less noise and more power more smiles .Now the question is has anyone fitted a jack plate to this model of ribcraft
. I know the transom is good for a 150hp long shaft.yes I know the boat is set up for long shaft .yes I know I could sell the xl and buy a long shaft. and yes I know that I could build up the transom.but has anyone fitted a jack plate.
Cheers Al

Why don't you give Ribcraft a call and ask. They're a really helpful group of people. If you give them your boat number they can probably check.
