Ribcraft 5.85 Fuel Tank

Greetings all!
Just purchased a new to me Ribcraft 5.85 with a leaking internal fuel tank or at least that's what I am told by the seller. I intend to pressure test with air to confirm but would like to know if anyone has had to replace a fuel tank in a Ribcraft 5.85? The RIB is only 10 years old.

Thanks in advance for any response.

RIBase
A mate of mine had the same problem. They sent it back to Ribcraft to be done. The deck had to be cut out, all in all it was away for about 6 months & cost a kidney.

yeah , console has to come off then cut the deck , we did the work ourselves, took few days, we repaired the tank only for it to leak again 2 years later, 2nd time we removed the tank all together, put in2 plastic tanks, no trouble after that,if i were to do it again i'd leave it were it is and look into plastic tanks on deck or under seat,

Thanks all

Leaving a tank on the deck doesn't seem all that bad...
for now anyway.

I'm not that bright and may re-think in a couple of months.

No, not yet. About 1/3 of the tank is exposed under the console so I can see the top filler neck and sending unit.

I've taken the RIB out twice and what a blast!!!
