Ribcraft 545

I have read on this forum on many occasions that the RC 545 is a very good boat. I can also testify to the same. I am wondering if there is some reasosn that RC dont generally make this particular boat? I understand that they will make it as a special order.

Because its a different hull to the 5.3 and the 585 and i would imagine it was too close to either, like having a 5 mtr and a 5.1.. sort of almost no need!
Im only guessing here TSM

Shortened 6.something. Wide beam, so good for the dive market, back in the day, but less so for sports/leisure use, which the 5.3 suits well.

Not the prettiest either. The proportions look slightly off.

I've had my 545 for about 2years now & done just over 100hrs cruising time I've be out in some pretty challenging seas, also been across to Ireland few times in it I think for a small boat it handles brilliant & would recommend one to anyone who is thinking off buying there first rib

In fact a One Off Hull..
Original design was for 4 Divers Pluss Gear...Heavy comercial lay-up, and I'm told quite an expensive RIB to Build.--VERY Deep V- Large Tubes, and exceptional Dry Ride for size...As for Looks ''Handsome is as Handsome does!!''Great in the Rough and certainly Punches well above its weight...

I owned one for 3ish years, and I totally agree, "punches well above its wright" was exactly the phrase I used to describe it.
As soon as I eventually sold it, wished I hadn't.
They are a fabulous boat and I don't know why RC don't push them more......
