I'm planning to buy me a new boat and I was considering a Ribcraft 5m. I think the 4.8 is more or less the same shape and design. For the moment I have a 4.5m Avon, but it's possibilities in rough water is zero.
Does anyone have experience with this type of boat? Is this a big difference?

That was a good day!..Matt h in the R.C 5m, me in my 5.45 and Chris filming from his Osprey 6.5. It was rougher the day befor when we made it out to ''The Needles'' but still great fun,I would definately go for the 5m if you've a choice.Realy good in the rough stuff..like all the Ribcrafts I've tried for that matter!
Maybe a nice low hours '545' going soon,if a used Rib is on the menu,I can CERTAINLY RECOMEND THAT ONE!

i use a ribcraft 4.8m with a 50hp evinrude e-tec they reli are an amazing boat in both rough and calm weather but felt maybe it could have done with a bit more power in rough weather..id say the 60hp yam would be ideal

or a 60 Etec, better still a 75
