They where not that attractive so doubt you will be banned

Pascoe would need to have Icelandic girls to be attractive

Bogi (all the best comes from far north )

I forgive you, Bruce, but not sure whether Jo will!

I guess the lovely lycra ladies will probably be lounging around on a Pascoe again - unless MPL (or whatever its new name is) has changed its marketing strategy since its relaunch.

Anyway, all the best people will be crowded round the BIBOA stand so make sure you come and say hello!

Looking forward to it, Danny. And after your epic voyage to get there I hope you'll let us buy you a drink! Are you staying over night in Cowes? If so, it would be good to meet up in the evening too. And that goes for any other RIBnetters staying over. Look forward to seeing old friends again, and meeting some new ones!

(general piece of advice : desperate types sometimes try to break into others' accommodation : not mentioning any names so keep the old room keys safe )

Bogi,

If there are some spare ones (Beutifull Icelandic girls) can you bring a couple over for the BananaShark stand - a nice yellow outfit would be good!

we will be launching and coming over from Portsmouth. Not been out of there before, in fact I may have to get a visa to come that far south . What local restrictions, speed limits, and general whoopsies do I need to be sure to avoid please.

Oh my Gawd... I'm gonna give Mr Mallett some advice.

I'm not worthy!

I feel like David approaching Golliath...

OK Dave,

Radio QHM on Ch11 if you need to cross Portsmouth Harbour (see QHM Website for details).
Keep to the western side of the narrow exit/entry.
Don't run aground on any sandbanks (plenty of them)
Don't go near commercial shipping (keep out of the moving exclusion zone 1km in front of them)
Don't go through the moorings at Cowes, keep to the man entrance/exit.

HTH!

Anybody going on the Saturday from the Chi area.

I'm just looking for backup in case my old engine gives up the ghost. I think my usual partner is working over that weekend so I will be forced to go out on my own. Not something I normally do if I can help it.

So I'm just looking for some sort of backup on the saturday. I shall be leavving Chi at 1000 hrs and returning from Cowes at 1900 hrs. Hopefully all shall be okay but it would be nice to have some sort of backup plan if the worst happens.

A radio callsign or MMSI number is all that is needed.

Regards Nick R.

Hi Dave!

There is new guidance on the 'Ballast' (Red Post near Haslar; across from the Spinnaker Tower) leave and enter to port - and also the similar post just outside the Harbour : ditto.

Speed limits are strictly enforced lots of shapes and sizes of ferries to avoid.

Have a look at www.qhmportsmouth.com .

And if Ribald is on Vol. Patrol, he is partial to chocolate brownies

Hope you enjoy your visit to Portsmouth...just driven up the Harbour in the dusk and it was as nice as Poole

missus
