Ribeye retube in Hypalon

Finally replaced my PVC tubes in Hypalon. Although to be fair, the nine year old tubes were sound, just the seam on the rear tapered section to the cone was difficult to repair. A lot of messing around later and the fact that all baffles had gone - made up my mind.

Have gone for a complete change in colour scheme. Anthracite grey with grey fendering with grey wear patches. No ropes, trying to keep it as plain as possible.

Work carried out by Ribbit Ltd., in Portchester. Fair price and good workmanship so far - finished next week and hopefully back in the water.

So, if any PVC ribeye owners having same problems, this may be the way to go.

RIBase
I like that. It looks more purposeful than the normal Ribeye colours.

Thanks chaps.
I agree, the ribeye colours are a bit girlie, I guess it helps to get the other half into boating.

My mind was tuned when I was sat over in Cowes last year, when two large Army ribs turned up, all dark grey and black - looked fantastic. They tied up to mine and made me feel a little limp wristed as I handed them my stern line Still not quite 'land rover of the sea' but hoping this choice of colour will help

The chaps name is Paul Heaysman, Ribbit Ltd..Portchester, introduced to me by Roy Winkworth via Mark @ MB Marine Sales LTD. Southampton.

Right, that's my local 'plug' sorted, but I reckon they deserve a bit of praise every now and again!

Wow that looks good. You have any pics of the old tube's 'girlie' color?

It's not really a girlie colour, that's my justification to change it totally. Most opinions given before-hand suggested to keep it exactly the same as original. Won't get second hand value, people won't know it's a ribeye and many other bollocks talked about. The price to copy with two colours and fancy stripes and 'eye' was out of my game.

So I'm glad I went with my own feelings

I love the new color!
but I'm alos partial to safety ropes so the plain tubes look a little odd to me.

Agreed, perhaps some dark grey ropes with light grey holders would have looked smart. More costs though
