Riblines

Congratulations to Louise on her first issue as editor.

Just finished reading my copy that arrived this morning. There is a very good article by Brucehawsker, about the purchase of Farfetched.

I can't wait for the next edition.

We are giving free copies away on the BIBOA stand here at RIBex

I believe that there will be some particularly good articles in next month's issue too

I'll pass your kind words to Louise - thanks.

Riblines is the BIBOA club magazine. Louise has recently taken on the (thankless) task of publishing it. She has a hard act to follow after Yvonne Mackintosh but I am confident she's up to it!

Thanks guys. I've spotted a few little errors but hey - you can't expect perfection first time around! I hope the next issue will be an even better read and would love to receive comments from anyone who has received a copy, especially things you don't like, things you would like to see included and what (if anything!) you'd like more of. PM me or post here please! Cheers!

Hi Hannah & Simon B,

Thanks for your interest. As Alan says, Riblines is a magazine published 5 times a year which members of BIBOA (British Inflatable Boat Owners Association) receive free. With RIBex coming up we took the opportunity to do an extended print run as a way of publicising the club. I do have a few copies left and if anyone would like one please PM me and in return for a stamped addressed envelope (A4 size and postage to be confirmed depending on 1st or 2nd class) I will send you one of the spare copies of the May 2005 issue.

Thank you for the positive comments about my article. I ran this off at Louise's suggestion just ahead of her deadline.

I would love to hear other people's RIB 'life history' - especially those with longer experience than me.

Can I encourage people to put pen to paper (or sweaty finger tips to plastic keys) and submit material to Louise?

Being editor of any club magazine is a tough job - the more support we can collectively offer, the better!

Cheers,

Bruce
