RIBnet Christmas dinner - Saturday 6 Feb 2010

< Edit: Original thread is here. JK >

Saturday the 6th Feb has now been booked at The Lightship, Hasler Marina.

I've booked the whole of 'The Sports Bar' up in the Bow so we can close it off to stop our antics upsetting other customers.
I've suggested 30 people but that's changeable.

I'm expecting to be able to post a menu and cost later this week when they have confirmed if they can offer us the full X-mas menu.

As before I'll need Deposits quite quickly to pass on to the Restaurant, then full payment before the event.
Unfortunately this has proved necessary as in the past some have thought the rest of us would pay for them to eat.
Cheques can be made out to the Restaurant however and I’ll hand them over on the night.

Also as before, we’ll go with optional Black Tie, as I know some of the regulars enjoy putting their gear on and strutting about as much as I do.
I must stress it’s optional though.

Can anyone who has a trophy contact me by PM just to confirm where they are.

I know the whereabouts of the Rib Build and the Purple Helmet.

More info to come.

Nasher.

Sure do.
It's actually in an envelope with a post-it stuck to it that has your name on it.

Glad to see you'd like to join us this year though Biff.

Andre, where's your vision? What we need is some blue sky out of the box thinking for this one!

Andre

I honestly didn't think anyone would be interested this year so didn't do anything about arranging the usual x-mas dinner.

Then I received a load of PMs asking when this years dinner was, so thought I'd give it a go.
Due to the late nature of arranging it, ie a week or so ago, and having consulted with a couple of people, we thought it best to let everyones real x-mas dinner go down properly, and give us something to look forward to in that glum period just after new year.

I think that Febuary is a great time of the year for a get together, perhaps a little difficult for some, but if the weather is good over the weekend, then perhaps we could blow some cobwebs away with a mini cruise as well.

You don't want the Lofty one onboard Andre. He'll stand in front of your Camera and slow you down by creating too much wind resistance

Along way off, but could you please put me down for 2 please. Will do our best to get there and as has already been said, it will be a good way of starting the new season.

Thanks for your work putting this together.

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately the collective choice of date for this shindig is the one day where I'm already committed to something. Maybe next time!
