Ribtec 455 & 535

Interested in finding out the lineage of the Ribtec 455 and 535 models as they're quite different to the larger Ribtec hulls which all appear to share the same basic shape.

Does anyone know the history? Am I right in thinking Solent RIBs are based on these hulls? I'm sure I saw something called a Porters recently which also looked similar. Are there any others?

I've just purchased a little 455 as a project hence my interest.
