Ribtec handling and build quality

Close to buying a 5m Ribtec with a Honda 50. Can anyone offer an experienced perspective on a similar set up, and more generally some thoughts on the handling of Ribtec boats in various sea conditions ?

Welcome to the forum. Sorry no real experience specifically about Ribtecs but in my view a 50 hp outboard on a 5 m rib is a little on the small size engine wise

I used to have a Ribtec 585 and hands down its one of the best handling boats I ever had. Build quality was good, I never saw any issues.

What happened to Ribtec? Did Ribeye buy them out or did I imagine that? Shame they disappeared as they were generally well regarded and were certainly one of the pioneers.
