Ok - lets aim for an 0745 meet a South Mimms.

Did we resolve the 'how will we recognise each other' issue - shall we wear a red carnation in the A frames?

OK - Messsage recieved.....

Yep - I'll be there - I'm just trying to work out exactly how to get there!!

I will be comeing down the M4 then A4 into London - South Mimms seems to be a bit of a detour - so I'll meet you there (unless anyone else is still comeing down the M4)

I think I will be on my own so if any Londoners have any sensible suggestions of signs to follow.... Let me know

I'm OK to the city - but then what should I look for!

See you at 8:30 - 9:00

Two choices from getting from the M4 to the Isle of Dogs.
Either come in on the A40 which will take you onto the northern Ring Road and you will end up heading towards Tower Bridge at which point you should see signs for Dockland or Canary Wharf etc. Try and get onto The Highway through Wapping which will take you through the Lime House Link Tunnel. Follow the signs for Canary Wharf and take the slip road out of the tunnel. Turn Right and go across a large covered roundabout and then across (not off to the left) a roundabout with a large traffic light sculpture in the middle so that the river is on your right. Follow this road around to the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs and turn right. I think there are sign for the Greenwich foot tunnel.
Or come in on the M4, turn right onto Earls Court Road. This will take you down to the river where you will have to turn left and follow the embankment all the way down to Tower Bridge and as above.
There is no pontoon at Johnson Drawdock but there are rings that you can tie up to when the tide is high. I think we should be ok.

Ok so I might as well meet

you all at Johnson Drawdock as opposed to launching @ Bargehouse lane. Geoff what do you reckon for parking for 6 rib trailers there?

I will bring my digital camera so can take a pic of the slipway, perhaps complete with RIB being launched for boatlaunch.

Cheers,
Alan

Parking should be OK, there is usually space on the slipway for trialers. Late comers may have a longer walk.

See you all there.

I'm still coming I think. I'll have to leave from Battersea early to meet you all at Isle Of Dogs by 9.00am.

I'll be listening on CH16 in case I get lost.

I'll be in a Yam 550.

See you all there.

I fueled up tonight, for tommorrow having found my new tanks have a slightly different connection to the old one, doh!!!!!

The chandlery insisted they were a yam fitting and it said so on the packaging. Is there two types of Yamaha fitting?

Had to dig my old tank out. This only gives me 26 litres for toommorrow + 26L in a gerry can.

I'm gonna get a shower cus i stink of petrol,

See ya in the morning chaps !!!!!!!!!
