She is apparently the Mersey Class, Frank and Lena Clifford of Stourbridge which is based at New Quay in Wales.

I thought it might be the old Moelfre LB as they've recently replaced.
BBC News - Moelfre lifeboat RNLB Kiwi unveiled after £2.2m bequest
I personally preffer the Mersey class, that would be my ideal boat, with davits for t rib of course.

Yep Polys right (on 12 -15 )its Newquays Mersey class lifeboat ,
i would have thought the old Tyne class from Moelfre ( Robert & Violet) (on 47-13 )will go to Holyhead or Bangor for short while then down to Poole on sea passage rather than by road as they are slightly longer than the Mersey class before getting disposed of in the near future ,
There isn't that many Tynes left on now & think China has bought enough of them up now so she may go into private ownership ,
Ahh you can't beat the sound of a Tyne class lifeboat though just launched down the slip with the cox braying the arse off the engines or when it's trying to reverse back onto the slip in a lumpy sea .
Though with the new Shannon class eventually replacing the Merseys there may be a few get into private hands over the coming years ,who knows Dragonhawk you may get one eventually ,,,mmmm now where's my lottery numbers : )

Depending ion which direction she was heading, she was probably returning to station after a refit, or heading away to a refit. There was a Mersey in Poole last week undergoing post refit trials, so I suspect the former.

Moelfre's Tamar hasn't made it to her new home yet - crew training at Poole last week, training passage on the way to station this week, due to arrive at station tomorrow.

Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions

Once she is at the station, crew training will continue, and once everyone is happy she will be put on service and the Tyne will be withdrawn, as Mart says initially into storage and then sell off.

I'll get me anorak

Cheers

Chris

Slightly off topic ,, but remember about 18 years ago early one friday evening whilst towing a very large model Mersey class lifeboat down the A1for a publicity event the next day ,
We had Just turned off the A1 at wetherby on the road to leeds came around a bend & found the road blocked with a number of cars with another car upside down in a ditch & 2 women dangling from their seatbelt s ,
we freed the girls who were ok when the driver said funny part about it was that she said she remembered driving out of Wetherby with the intentions of going to a night club in Leeds ,, clipping the grass verge ,,, the car spun around and they went upside down but when she came around a bit she couldent work out where she was ,,, 70 miles from the sea and there's a great big orange and blue lifeboat at the side of her .lol

That's 'niksters' on here boat...that a couple of us spent the day watching Bournemouth airshow from ;-)....

On my jaunt up to Wareham on Sunday there were four tied up up river-without numbers and markings....looking like they were about to be sold on by the Rnli.
