RNLI's New lifeboat - 2 lectures In Glasgow
2 Lectures about the RNLI's new Lifeboat hitting Glasgow in the next couple of months - Granted, it's not a RIB, but probably of interest.
1) IMechE (Institute of Mechanical Engineers), Wednesday 18th November in Room A0005, Govan Mkebi Building, Glasgow Caledonian University, 6pm for 6.30 covering the systems and engineering involved in the new craft. Entry is free, and all are welcome.
2) IESIS (Institute of Engineering & Shipbuilding in Scotland) Tuesday 8th December in the McCance Lecture Theatre, Strathclyde University 6.00 for 6.30pm, This one concentrates on the composites & hull selection of the lifeboat.
