Good luck but I reckon you would shave a day off your time without all the extra ironmongery................

I wouldn't have thought all that topiary above and around the seats is going to last very long in the Irish Sea. It looks like that frame would take a rain cover from a mobility scooter
Good luck

Extra Weight
Boys, Boys, Boys,
The idea of a mobility scooter may have relevance after the event though.
I assume you are removing the A Frame and extra fuss before you take off.
Remember Rule #1: If it can fall off, it will.
Regards,
Team Pulsar.

ironmongery
all that ironmongery is necessery,we have no console so the helm, trottles, nav epuipment, vhf & engine instruments are all on the shock wave seats. The A frame is designed for functionality the back bar you can walk out on to remove ropes it also protects the engines from fools hiting off them in small harbours, because we have no console its a good place to stow safety equipment and carry all the gps and radar dome

seats
The seats are shock wave seats modfied by us to hold all the equipment that is normally on the console, driver seat in front holds the helm, trottles, two evinrude I-command gauges set on rpm and trim tabs and a garmin 5008. Nav seat holds the VHF, garmin 5010, and evinrude I-command gauges set on fuel management. Seen alot of configurations on race boats in the last 20 years but in long endurance race over 500nm I would choose comfort over an extra 3kts but with no console or extra bits the boat weighs just less than 2000 kg lite.

Have you managed to get the Icommands to 'manage' the fuel? I haven't.

Round Ireland 09
Having seen the VIR RIB been built and it on sea trails in cork harbour it will be very hard for any competiton to come close to it. The two boys will hammer their first record. I think that they should come in early teens with the time. Hey if they do fastnet they'll be out and back before the cork crew have their sun glasses on.
