No news as yet, it'll be a right shame/mess if they aren't awarded it in some technicality.

What a joke!

Anything to do with authorities, always problems, racing lot, problems, round Britain, problems, race boat specs and classes, problems, commercial charter code, problems, not the boaters just all the hangers on.

The Uk needs its own governing body to look after all records along with the terms and conditions to take part in an attempt. Currently the rules have been written by people with "internal interests" or personal agendas. I spent three years of my life fighting their RYA and UIM on the rules for Around the World. The original rules were written for the benifit of the main sponsor. I maintained that the rules should only be written by people who had been on the challenges as they were the only ones that knew what it was about.
There is nothing stopping anyone claiming a world record. Historical Richard Branson did this when he crossed the Atlantic in Virgin Challenger. He broke every rule in the book but still claimed a World Record. Under the written rules I am the official world record holder of the Trans Atlantic Crossing but I still see other people claiming their intentions of doing a different route and claiming it's going to be a World Record

Not sure. Hotribs awarded the trophy as its there's to give. They claimed there is an inshore and offshore time now, one includes skerries etc

RYA hadn't confirmed their view last I heard.

Dunno if it's been posted before but some nice video and a write up on the Biboa site.

Nice boat that, we cruised with them on Dougcrocks Scottish jaunt last year and it sounds great cos the pipe's out of the water. A couple of sussies would make it a perfect mile muncher!
