It's been up on the home page for a little while now. I find I have to refresh with F5 to get up to date news, pictures, results, etc. HTH

Thanks. I was going straight to the 'news' page and refreshing that - silly me, I should have guessed it would be on the home page rather than 'news'!
Thanks again.

I've just been told now that there are already some boats at Pembroke - how have they made it up here so fast? - I assume they decided to travel by road lastnight or something before the decision this morning?

Tracking of boats
Hi
One would think that this would the ideal time to run the boat tracking live for us all - on RB08 website. Then we could see the boats jostling for positions on the M5.
No seriously - with this major change of logistics, it would help to see which boats are sitting it out (for calm seas tomorrow) and which ones are going by road.
Forcast for Lands end at 5am tomorrow is very light winds - how long for those big seas to reduce??
Paul

Just had a look on Marinetrack, and that's exactly what it's showing. Looks like Wettpunkt has the fastest truck driver!

I am told that there are now quite a number of boats on trailers now at Pembroke Dock - the camera has gone in to the port about 20mins ago so hopefully will get some pics back later on....
Currently trying to find out when they'll be lifted in, and when the two starting times are tomorrow.

Approx 20 or so boats are there now if I heard right on the phone just then.
Boats lifting in approx 0600hrs tomorrow morning, with possibility of race start at 1045hrs (this is all 2nd hand info from people at work, so don't quote me on that).
If you look here
http://www.mhpa.co.uk/content.asp?ar...irectory_id=14
The bottom camera looks at Carr Jetty which is where the boats will all be going in.
The live weather at Pembroke is here

I've just come back from there - all the boats are going into the Royal Dockyard. No public access
Spoke to a couple of guys from one of the race boats on their way in. They told me tomorrow's start time is 10:45 for race 1.
Also saw Cinzano at Milford docks with the engine covers open - still having problems, which they can't fix A guy at Milford told me that tomorrow's leg may not run and there's a competitors' briefing in the morning

It sounds like final decisions won't be made until tomorrow morning, but it looks like the main start will be at 10.45. I guess the later starts will depend on when the boats arrive!
The Pembroke Buoy off Milford Haven is showing current wave heights around 10ft (down from 15 this morning). The wind is due to die right back overnight, but it's still going to be pretty lumpy tomorrow. Should be an interesting day!

Pembroke fun
It all feelsl very strange as the fleet takes to the road. Crane in Pembroke unable to launch this evening as wind speed too high. Concern amoung those with support crews is that without unloading their trucks, they will be unable to get the trucks to Bangor. We have no support and Black Gold is travelling on a flat bed trailer. We are looking forward to getting on the water again.n

I've just been told that some boats are being lifted in this evening at Milford Haven Marina (across the water from Pembroke Dock). Presumably, there is more shelter on that side
