Yeah, a few boats in the water at Milford now, and another couple perhaps later on this evening....

Hi Alex: Presumably, they're moored up in the marina overnight, not at Carr Jetty?

Yeah, they're in the marina tonight now...
Another 5 have just turned up at Milford in the last hour - they're continuing to launch the ones they can.

I know the Weathers been Bad but !
why have they moved from Pylmouth to milford ?
would it not just of been easier to have had the lay day yesterday instead of on wednesday ?
i know that they would of had to change hotel bookings etc but that must of been an easier option than transporting all the boats via land
also some of the "RTD" from the first leg have know had longer to prepare for the next legs.
so if you retired in the 3rd/4th leg could you not then argue your case that those the retired earlier have had a better opertunity to restart ?
what would of happened if the leg between Milford and Bangor had/has to be resceduled its a longway via road and ship to northern Ireland
Andy

It was clearly a difficult call, and not one that was taken lightly.
Taking the lay day early would have meant changing all the logistical arrangements at Milford Haven, Bangor and Oban. I guess they decided that it wasn't practical.
There probably wasn't a "right" decision, just the one that seemed least bad at the time.

Looks like they might be shadowing Team Jersey's broken down Bat 28 into Wexford now.
Pascoe RIB #96 Mr Mako driven by Jamie Edwards & John Lindsay appears to be overall leader so far today.

Not sure if it's just because I'm using Firefox but there seems to be a problem with MarineTrack. It's been fine (apart from the hiccups of 'Too many connections' yesterday) but just now I refreshed it and got a pop up box which I couldn't get rid of except by using Task Manager, which then, without warning, shut all the windows I had open, not just the MarineTrack one! I tried again and got the same problem but with a different message in the pop up box. Anyone else had something similar?
P.S. Make sure you save anything vital before refreshing MarineTrack!

Just found out, if I 'OK' every pop up, eventually it places all the markers on the map and then goes away! It never used to do that - very strange!

Mr Mako was first in to Bangor, but beaten to first place by Wetpunkt who started half an hour later.

We have broke down 25 miles or Ireland with one blown engine. We have made 6 knots for 4 hours and got in at rosslare. We have an engineer with us and plan if we can get our new parts and oil to arrive at Bangor at 2am running along with 42 bat boat. Starting to feel tired now. Bit fed up of paying catch up but not giving in yet. Seems the more basic ribs with single simple outboards are going best. Top speed so far 62 knots.

Really sorry to hear that Tom. Tim and myself have just got back to Portsmouth. What a shame it has happened.
