I've just had to retire. Have a whole in the engine the size of a fist. And are stuck in Ireland. Our spare engine is with the road crew in Oban. We can't leave here until tomorrow to get crained out. Gutted. I wish the best of luck to all other teams. Boat was going great yesterday and was making great time. When I get back I will post details of what happened which might help those that run the yanmar 260hp engine. But ad of now its the end of the line for us.

Really bad luck - at least you got to take part which is probably a bigger challenge than the race itself!!!

John thanks for the tip, we had a pretty good view from Keilmore and saw most of the boats OK through the bins. Unfortunately the zoom on the camera isn't so good - so not sure that anyone would be able to pick out their own boat! The weather held off pretty well until just the stragglers were left.

Despite being a bit slow to get through the lock in Milford Haven

Had you sorted out the earlier mechanical gremlins suffered during the first leg when you left Milford Haven?
