Just saw this thread, and, feeling bored, I have decided to drive to the coast to see if I can get a glimpse of the boat speeding past (Lowestoft) at about 1.30am. I must be mad....

Saw them both go through the Sound of Sleat today, when we were out, both going well, and could not have had flatter water...........

Good luck to them both for the rest of it.........

To answer my own question, I've just seen over on boatmad that Mike Deacon has finished in 31 Hrs 12 mins. What an achievement

Yarmouth CG was mildly concerned; the boat was supposed to contact Humber CG earlier and hadn't. That along with the lack of tracking information made them call the shore contact who apparrelty said everything was running to plan.
