Round Britain video
Stumbled across this today.
Only recently published. Looks good. I haven’t watched it all myself yet.

Yep and me... knew of it but hadn't seen the video... watched it all through with great fascination... many thanks for the link. It would have made good watching for the guy Chris (I think) who tried it solo with an Frib not to long back and had to give up early on due to back fatigue.
It would have to be a miracle good weather period to make it in a Frib or SIB.

testimony to the build quality of that Gemini Rib, that
18 years and one re-tube later it still looks tidy. It had a 150 VRO bolted onto it
when I first acquired it.

I watched it too, very good, no auxiliaries there either. As for getting caught in a lobster pot rope do the self sufficient brigade carry diving gear?

The fk would you want diving gear for? It's either a handy release or a cutting job on the surface (dry suit, tether & knife). Sheesh - you southern softies....

I’d guess if looked after most ribs would look tidy after a retube... the more interesting thing would be:

How many of the helms are still in such good condition / helming like this with no suspension?

Does anyone what the full list of boats that entered the challenge was?
It looks like a couple of 4.8 Ribcrafts, an SR4, the Gemini, a Humber something and a red one that I think might be a Delta?
