As long as it's in the name of 'charity mate, not 'arf' it's got to be good, brilliant, well done.

Would you be less antagonistic if they were doing it without raising any money for charity? Genuine question!

I'm not sure about your use of the word 'antagonistic', sceptical perhaps.
To answer your question, perhaps. I don't wish to 'bang on' on this subject. I think you know where I'm coming from on this one. Some may agree, many may not.

Mollers whoever you are, try driving a convertable ferrari at 40mph through a force 7 rainstorm with 6m speed bumps every 3 seconds for 9 and a half hours then post another comment telling us that it is easy.
and at whos expense was the trip, certainly not yours, and we are extremely sorry that raising money for charity offends you so greatly, and just to let you know all the money raised through the sponsors was given directly to the charity and so far we have raised over £30,000.
yours sincerely

Go away, I have 1000's of miles of delivery work under my belt. My son rode his bicycle at age 7, over 27 miles of Dartmoors 1in4 hills in driving wind and rain. He raised £675. And?????

Well done and out of interest how much has it cost to raise that great sum i.e. boat, support crews, training, fuel,
boat mods, wet weather gear etc

who really cares what the boat costs, and the mods!
they took it up as a challenge and raised money for charity as well.
Mollers might think it is more "worthy" to do it on his surf board but, i think i would much prefer to do it in a 9m rib than a 3m sib for example.
if they had not done the mods they did and then got caught out by bad weather and fatigue would folks have moaned that they were not prepared enough?
well done guys

I would think it was done for the peronal challenge and the enjoyment and sense of satisfaction having completed such a thing. As an aside it is nice to raise some cash aswell. Obviously if it was only done for the Charity side then I guess it would not make financial sense, but then again boating seldom does....
