Round Ireland Offshore Powerboat Race 2010

Official Announcement.

The Round Ireland Offhsore Powerboat Race 2010 was officially launched at the recent Dublin Boat Show.

Supported by the ISA and UIM, the race will run along official offshore racing guidelines and classes as goverened by the UIM.

The race will take place from the 8th to 15th of May 2010 and promises to be a spectacular event showcasing Ireland and the ledgendary hospitality.

Taking in 4 stages and a separate short race course on day 3 the event will be limited to 50 boats only.

Log on and register your interest, whether as a race competitor, journalist, sponsor etc and get ready for 2010.

Anyone on here thinking of entering

Would certainly like to do it - but depends on what boat I have by that time. Looking at two options which are new designs
- a 32' mono which is stil at concept stage but could get built abroad
- a 30' RIB which is pretty different ot any RIB so far seen! Design has been commissioned by a foreign company but has not been built yet.

Alternatively may look at bringing in a Technohull into the country.

Also have a few clients who could be interested, again depending on what stage they are with building boats.
