Hey guys, I don't like to be a Joanah, but do check out the European medium range forecast on...

www.ecmwf.int

(There are notes on how to use the charts on the FREE WEATHER thread.)

'Fraid it looks as if you are going to have a NW'ly, blowin' old boots - about 20 to 30 knots, unless I'm much mistaken.

But, fingers crossed...

Hi Lurcher,

I will be coming out of Chichester so we are at the same end of the Solent.

I shall also be out this Sunday late am to carry out some engine testing - if you're about, give me a call - Romeo Charlie Four Eight (as I said before don't ask )

Hi Ribald,

40 knots is very impressive with your rig. Looks like a good day tomorrow Sunday 12th. Have to drop some training material at the Novotel Southampton, and will then be out to play from Warsash from 11.30ish

Fancy a trip up to the Kings Head at Yarmouth - they do a top lunch. I was up there 2 weeks ago when it was blowing old boots and big tides. Could've stayed there all afternoon and evening on the Speckled Hen.

Regards,

Whiteshoes

Hi Whiteshoes,

40 kts requires a mirror-like oily flat calm (or my GPS is lying to me )

I will be out tomorrow doing some engine trials so will probably only get as far as Portsmouth.

I like the idea of The King's Head or The Wheatsheaf so perhaps we can meet for a trip another time. The George does a magic breakfast so I may make an overnighter of it to make the best advantage of the "refreshments"

Will keep in touch.

Take a spade with you ( or preferably a JCB ) the slip is an absolute nightmare at the moment with weed, would be nice if the council or someone could take 5 minutes with some heavy equipment to try and clear

Yeah. noticed that last week, but there was a "channel" through it. You just had to get lined up squarely, which involved going a little way up the hill.

May try the slip by the Itchen Bridge featured in Boatlaunch.

All the Best

Hi All

Sorry, but due to a change in plans I won't be able to make the trip on Sunday.

I am now going to Ribex Sunday, and if the weather permits I intend to go round the Island Saturday, hopefully getting back to the Folly for a meal around early evening.

Graeme

Nags etc

New plan
Buy JCB
DIG hole
SHOOT NAG & NAGGER
SHOVE IN HOLE
FILL IN HOLE
BUILD STABLE NOW CALLED RIB STORE
LIVE A HAPPY LIFE !

Next week end training smallest to win the RYA Youth RIB driving challenge so we get a new RIB for our sailing cluB!

Better idea would be to do the Round the Island the OPPOSITE direction to the sailing boats in June see some fantastic boats and miss the crowds
Let me know
