RYA Instructor training Cumbrae Nov 07

Hi all, after recent postings here I am keen to do the Fast Track Powerboat training course Nov 8-29 2007 at RYA centre in Cumbrae, near Glasgow.
It is all the following courses run over 19 days & costs 1000 GBP all in.

RYA Safety Boat
RYA Day Skipper Shorebased
RYA First Aid
RYA Intermediate Powerboat
SRC VHF
RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance
RYA Advanced Powerboat
RYA Powerboat Instructor

I´ve been in touch with the centre & am the first applicant! they need 3 minimum to do it so anyone interested please get in touch.

Anyone got any views on the above, or been recently?

Also, any trainer out there running similar courses please get in touch.

Cheers all

Give Doug Innes at Stormforce Coaching (www.stormforce.biz) a call. He offers a similar package, for which IMHO you get a lot more, and having worked for and with Doug, he has a great fleet of boats and good shorebased facilities.

Cumbrae Watersports Centre have a good reputation up here, they seem to be well organised and do run regular powerboat courses throughout the year. I took their first aid course 2 years ago and it was both informative and well presented.

I know two people who were on their last advanced course and they seem pleased with the instruction they received.

CWSC have a twin engined Tornado in addition to their single engined Vikings, which is great for developing handling skills on multi-engined ribs.
