i want to put a sampson post on my rib, has anyone got experience with this? i want one that can tow a reasonable weight.

Have a chat with Kevin @ Pacer Marine, they have some of these I believe in stock that they took off of 8 Bombard 7,3m which were used to tow film sets in the making of the film Sahara.

So you might get a bargain.

I am looking at an x lifeboat one in the morning. is there a special way of mounting them? i am good with fiberglass and want to do the work myself. any advice would be most appreciated
