Yeh I went today, was OK but Know where near RIBEX. Still I enjoyed myself for a few hours.
The Sales Guy I spoke to by the RIB X was completely usless and seemed not really interested in giving me any info at all.
The sales guy on the Brigg pontoon the opposite and was really enthusiastic and helpful.
A few stands scattered around and a showing of Suzuki, Yamaha and Barrus. Weren't really any help or interested in locating me an ex demo or secondhand outboard or even giving me a show deal, but I'm not surprised.
You got your RIB sorted for tomorrow Neal?

A little light on the ground for exhibitors, did the whole thing including the used boats in 2hrs. Impressive offshore powerboat 'dry martini' on show, sounded awesome! Not bad for £3.50 entry and you get it back when you get in cos they give you a free copy of the mag which isn't a bad read anyway. I wouldn't travel too far for it but as it was 10mins down the road it was worth the diesel!

Agreed, no stalls at all
I took a fair chunk of cash with me in case of a bargain, then took it home with me aswell, much to her delight!

Well this may, I say may be down to them not getting their act together!
I requested info on exhibiting twice and twice they failed to send.
In the end gave up and decided to use the money for other exhibitions.
All IMHO of course
Best regards

But based on previous years shows I wasn't expecting much, so had no pre-conceptions. My kids enjoyed the bouncy castle and a footy match between other children on the quay side.
The biggest dissapointment was the engine manufacturers and importers.....What's the point in even going to these shows if you can't talk deals!
Most people's minds I know are made up with what type of outboard they want either though real experience of a brand and looking at specs on the internet. It usually come down to what's the best value for money and if you can't approach the stands and do a bit of old fashioned haggling then it's all a bit of a waste of time. Isn't it?

Did anyone else get approchaed by that bird from "Kinky Angles"?
For those who didn't go there was a girl promoting a lap dancing club in Bournemouth. How random is that for a boat show?!

So hijacking the thread a bit, what boat did you get Matt?
Saw your (Nos') Searider today, and she looks well sorted. You did a really nice job, the pics don't do her justice.
