Sea-Doo Explorer

There's a 97 Sea-Doo Explorer for sale locally in my town that I'm looking at.
Does anyone have any experience with these RIBs?
There's very little info that I could find on these boats.
Are they dependable? Doesn't look like the tubes are hypalon.

I know a local fisherman who found one adrift miles out to sea, it was littered with empty beer cans and wine bottles. The thought was it had fallen off of a motor yacht. It was never claimed.

Sorry, that's of no help at all.

From what I could dig up they made them in 1993-97 and 2001. So not sure where the 98 model fits, it's probably a 97 model.
Thanks for the RIB magazine link, although I found it already.

if possible try tio get a test drive before purchase. I believe they are PVC which you may want to stay away from, I also have heard that they are slow and cant plane well with more than 3 people. def. try before you buy. good luck

Thanks. Yeah I decided not to go for it. There's no way to test run it right now, and the guy is leaving town for good this week.
