Different things work for different people. Stugeron & crystallised ginger work for me. I don't use it these days as I'm ok if the boat is moving & im helming.

Does anyone notice?

I've used Stugeron to good effect. The key is to start taking it early enough and not after you start feeling ill.

Chewing them decreases the time until effective.

I will give Stugeron a try and see how we get on, i like the idea of those wrist bands mentioned but a bit pricey.

My wife's SS is terrible. Ok at speed but the moment we stop it's feed the fish time. She tried everything and it's only been the wristband that has helped. She has to have it on at around level 8 which is a little annoying every time it pulses but hey presto she's cured !

Lord Nelson knew the perfect way
to cure your maldemare
and if you listlen closley, his secret i will share,
to any sea sick sailor he had this advice for free,
if you're feeling sea sick, sit underneath a tree!

alternative, ginger nut biscuits

And as for sea sickness tablets you want to start taking them the day before your boating outing, that's my serious tip!

Sea sickness

Love references to Nelson. My maternal Gran researched our family tree and I have docs that show a link with him - I'm not sure how true it is but like thought it might be
Apparently his Grandfather headed south from Haddington (East Lothian) in search of work. We now live and sail in the same area so full circle...maybe
...Sorry no seasickness advice

Good name to have when discussing sea sickness and by coincidence it was Trafalgar Day on Friday.
